I will try to get a scan- but it is big- bigger than A3 anyway, so I don't know if I will find a big enough scanner.
I used an 005 black Kuretake felt pen for the lettering, and a slightly bigger one in Dark Sepia- Faber Castell. I have used a 001 black felt pen before for really fine work, but I couldn't get one for this map...
Have you thought of using a mylar sleeve instead of laminating? It would protect the art without permanently encasing it. Looks like the right size sleeve and backing board would be about US$5
Thanks Steve- I had a look into that but decided against it- all of my other maps are laminated, and I want this done for tomorrow night's game. Interesting option though.
Wonderful! You really should do a high-resolution scan before laminating.
ReplyDeleteJust curious -- what pen do you use for lettering? Also: what size/kind of paper is that? Have you tried going gridless?

ReplyDeleteRegardless, it's a beautiful map.
Incredible work!
